🏖️ Stop 1 — Chigasaki “Southern C” Monument
Your first stop is one of Chigasaki’s most beloved photo spots — the iconic Southern Cross “C” Monument right on the beach. Just a short detour off Route 134, it’s the perfect place to snap a photo with your bike and soak in that Shonan beach vibe. There’s also a stylish beachside restaurant nearby if you want an early lunch with ocean views.
⚓ Stop 2 — Oiso Port (Optional)
A wide, open seaside plaza with a relaxed, unhurried atmosphere. There’s no major attraction here, but the harbor scenery and open sky make it a pleasant breather. Worth a stop if you have time to spare.
🛣️ Stop 3 — Seisho Bypass (Oiso Port IC → Hayakawa IC)
This isn’t just a highway — it’s a destination. The Seisho Bypass hugs the Sagami Bay coastline with sweeping ocean views that have made it a favorite among motorcyclists across Japan. Think of it less as a road and more as a scenic corridor leading you toward Odawara in style.
🌅 Stop 4 — Seisho Bypass Rest Area (PA) (Optional)
Pull over, park the bike, and gaze out at Sagami Bay stretching to the horizon. Many riders stop here purely for the view — and honestly, that’s reason enough. A perfect mid-highway breather before Odawara.
🦐 Stop 5 — TOTOCO Odawara Fish Market Station
Hungry? This is your spot. TOTOCO Odawara is a beloved roadside market and food hall right off the Hayakawa IC exit, celebrated for ultra-fresh local seafood. The 2nd and 3rd floors house a lively food court packed with sashimi, grilled fish, and Odawara specialties. Grab a hearty lunch and pick up some seafood souvenirs to take home.
🏯 Stop 6 — MINAKA Odawara (Optional)
A stylish multi-floor commercial complex inspired by Odawara’s old Edo-era castle town. Dozens of shops, restaurants, and sweet shops — plus a rooftop foot bath with views of Odawara Castle! Since parking is tricky near the station, we recommend leaving your bike at Odawara Castle and walking over.
🏯 Stop 7 — Odawara Castle
The undisputed highlight of the tour. Odawara Castle is one of Japan’s most celebrated feudal fortresses, with a striking white keep that has stood for centuries. The surrounding castle park is free to enter — stroll the grounds, grab a dango (sweet rice dumpling) from a nearby stall, and take in the classic samurai-era atmosphere. Climb the keep for ¥510 and enjoy panoramic views over the city and out toward the sea.
🌄 Stop 8 — Shonan Daira (Shonan Plateau)
Don’t head home without this one. Shonan Daira sits atop a steep hill overlooking the entire Shonan coastline — and while it’s famous as a night-view spot, the daytime panorama is equally breathtaking. What would be an exhausting hike on foot? On a motorcycle, you’re up there in minutes. Free telescopes at the viewing platform, a hilltop café, and views that stretch all the way to Tokyo on a clear day.
🛑 Stop 9 — Michi-no-Eki Shonan Chigasaki (Road Station) (Optional)
Welcome back to Chigasaki! If you’d like one final breather before returning the bike, the Shonan Chigasaki Road Station is perfect. Opened in 2025, this bright modern roadside station is already a hit with riders along Route 134. Pick up some local Shonan snacks and souvenirs before heading back. Our shop is just about 15 minutes from here.
