I’ve been doing a lot of research into what foreign travelers who love motorcycle travel are actually looking for. After joining Reddit and browsing through various threads, I kept seeing the same question pop up:
“Is there any company in Japan that lets you rent a motorcycle one-way — say, from Kagoshima in the south all the way up to Hokkaido in the north?”
The honest answer? No one offers this. Until now.
I searched extensively and couldn’t find a single company providing true one-way long-distance motorcycle rental across Japan. There are some “self-guided tour” packages out there — but they’re rigid, expensive, and not really what most travelers are looking for.
From reading Reddit, it was pretty clear: people don’t want a fixed itinerary. They want freedom.
I get it. I’ve traveled extensively myself — North America, Oceania, the Middle East, Asia — and I almost never plan ahead. I figure it out day by day, based on the vibe, the weather, advice from locals. Getting lost is half the fun. That kind of travel is what I’d call “advanced traveling” — and I think most experienced travelers around the world would agree.
So when I saw those Reddit threads, I replied: “We can do this.”
(Note: I later realized that subreddit doesn’t allow commercial posts — but the reply hasn’t been removed, and honestly, it’s genuinely useful information for people asking the question!)
Why We Can Offer This
Our company already runs a one-way bicycle rental service. We started with Japanese customers, but today more than half of our riders are international visitors. They love picking up a road bike in Yokohama and dropping it off in Shonan or Tokyo — it’s efficient, flexible, and fun.

Other pickup locations in Kyushu (like Kagoshima) are possible too!
🛬 Drop-off Location: Hokkaido
The ultimate goal for most riders is Cape Soya — the northernmost point of Japan. After that, we recommend dropping off near New Chitose Airport, which has international flights so you can head straight home.

🏍️ Rental Fees (Standard Class — 250cc, mainly Honda CB250R)
Why 250cc? Simple: anything under 250cc can’t use expressways in Japan. You might accidentally end up on a toll road and not even realize it — that’s a traffic violation you really don’t want. 250cc hits the sweet spot of agility, fuel efficiency, and highway capability.

📅 How to Book
Step 1 — Rough plan Think about when you want to come, how long you’ll stay, which airports you’ll use, and where you want to go. Doesn’t need to be detailed!
Step 2 — Contact me (1 month+ before your trip) Reach out via WhatsApp or email. Mention the Pioneer Rider Program when you get in touch to unlock the discounted rates. Tell me your wishes and I’ll figure out what’s possible. I’ll send you a quote — no payment needed at this stage.
Step 3 — Confirm & Pay Happy with the plan? Pay by credit card in advance. Not happy? No hard feelings — maybe another plan or another company is a better fit. I’ll also verify your international license and passport validity at this point.
Step 4 — Pre-departure Info I’ll send you everything you need to know about the bike and riding in Japan before you arrive.
Step 5 — Delivery Day I’ll bring the bike to wherever you are — hotel, airport, a park, wherever works for you.
Step 6 — During Your Trip WhatsApp me anytime. No need to fix your drop-off location in advance — we’ll figure it out as your trip unfolds.

私は多くのオートバイ旅行に関心のある来日外国人がどのようなサービスを求めているのかを調べてみました。最近REDDITに登録し、情報を詮索していたところ、とても興味深い投稿を多く目にしました。
それは、「鹿児島県（日本の最南端）から北海道（日本の最北端）まで片道でバイクレンタルをできる会社は日本に無いのか？」という質問の投稿でした。
結論から申し上げると、日本国内にそのようなサービスはありません。
私は日本人で、ある程度この内容に対して精通しています。日本国内のほとんどの情報を調べましたが存在していません。（私が見落とした可能性もゼロではありませんが）
それに近いことを行っている会社様はあります。しかしながら、それはセルフガイドツアーでして、良く言えば「効率良く周遊できる」、悪く言えば「自由度は低い」と言えるでしょう。（付け加えると金額もとても高額です。）
REDDIT投稿者の多くは、セルフガイドツアーは求めていないように私は感じました。
私も海外旅行が好きで、北米、オセアニア、中東、アジア、多くの国々訪れましたが、いつも大抵はノープランで、その国の雰囲気、交通事情、現地の方のアドバイス、他には天気など、その場その場で翌日のプランを考えてました。
迷子になることも沢山ありますが、その迷子になった先で新しい発見もあるものです。それがとても刺激的だったりもしますし、こういった旅が楽しいのだと私は思います。またそれは世界中の旅行上級者は同じ認識だと考えてます。
REDDITのスレッドには「当社で可能です」という内容の返事を投稿しました。（後から知りましたが、そのサブレディットは営利目的の投稿は禁止だったようです。しかしながら削除はされてませんし、多くの閲覧者もいるようです。かつ質問者に対して本当に役に立つ情報です。）
当社はサービスの一貫として「片道レンタル」というサービスをおこなっております。

当社（同じ会社の別事業）は元々、ロードバイク（自転車）のレンタルを横浜でおこなっています。（今現在でもやっています。）最初は日本人向けでしたが、今ではお客様の半数以上が訪日外国人のお客様となっています。当社のロードバイクレンタルは横浜で借りて、湘南か東京で返却できるサービスを導入しているのですが、外国人の多くはこのサービスを利用します。限られた日数と時間で効率良く観光ができる「片道レンタル」がオートバイでも実現可能ではないかと思い、このサービスを提供しております。
しかしながら、九州～北海道のような遠方への配車・回収というのは私（当社）も経験したことはありません。また当社は2026年の4月にオープンしたばかりですので、そのような実績もありません。
ですので今回、
・オートバイで日本縦断を考えている方
・日本を1か月以上の長期間で滞在を考えている方（九州～北海道以外でも可能）
・多くの都道府県を周りたいと考えている方（九州～北海道以外でも可能）
を対象にモニター価格でレンタルを提供したいと考えています。
「割引価格にてレンタル」しますその代わりに「旅行体験記」を書いて下さい。
「旅行体験記」は他の長期レンタル旅行者も参考にできるように、当社のブログで公開します。

旅行のプランは要相談ですが、概要としてはこう考えています。
・配車・回収場所: 福岡（九州）発～北海道着 ※順番は逆でも構いません。
・期間:30～60日（それ以上も可能です。）
・使用バイク: スタンダードクラス250CC 主にCB250Rを予定
・費用:561,000円（30日）+デポジット100,000円からとなります。
詳しい説明は次項にて説明します。
【配車場所】
受け渡しは福岡県が良いと思われます。鹿児島など他の県でも構いませんが、福岡が最も合理的です。
理由については以下の通りです。
・福岡には国際空港があります。海外からのアクセスが容易です。
・レンタルオートバイは私がフェリーと自走で運びます。フェリーの降り場が福岡です。
・九州はとても広く、そして見どころも多いです。福岡を出発して、九州を一周して本州に行くのが良いでしょう。
【回収場所】
日本の最北端は宗谷岬です。日本人、外国人問わず、ここを目指すライダーは多いです。しかしながら、宗谷岬でバイクを回収となると、結構な費用となってしまいます。
少し中心部まで戻り、北海道の新千歳空港付近が良いと思います。もちろん北海道の他の場所でも大丈夫ですが、移動距離に応じて価格も変わってきます。新千歳空港は国際空港ですので、そのまま帰国することもできるでしょう。
また、北海道からフェリーで本州に戻ってきて頂ければ、価格を下げることもできます。
【配送費】
配車費用:モニター価格165,000円（通常料金ですと250,000円程度です。）
回収費用:モニター価格165,000円（通常料金ですと250,000円程度です。）
（もちろんですが、これは輸送費の経費も全て込みの金額です。配車・回収するためのフェリー代、高速代、私の宿泊料や配達後の帰り費用など全てが含まれています。）
レンタルオートバイ台数が1台であれば、レンタルオートバイは私がフェリーと自走で運びますので、価格を抑えることができます。フェリー料金は時期によってフェリー会社側で変わりますので、変動はあります。
レンタルオートバイ台数が2台以上の場合は、高速道路を使ってトラックで運ぶ予定です。金額は2倍にはなりませんので安心下さい。恐らく配車と回収両方で450,000円程度だと思われます。
【レンタル費】
原付バイク（50CC）でのんびり旅をしたい方もいるようですが、私はスタンダードクラス（250CC）をオススメします。理由は、250CC未満は高速道路に乗れないからです。日本中をバイクで旅をしていると、高速道路に乗る必要があるルートが恐らく存在するでしょう。原付バイク（50CC）で間違えて乗ってしまうと、交通違反となってしまいます。乗らないつもりでも、標識に気づかずに自動車専用道（有料道路）に乗ってしまっていたというケースもあります。
追加料金でアドバンスドクラス（650CC）やプレミアムクラス（1000CC）にすることもできますが、これは高速道路がメインの方向けです。下道を走り多くの観光をする人にとっては最適な選択ではないと考えます。
スタンダードクラスを貸出する場合で
30日（一ヶ月）… 通常¥264,000→モニター価格¥231,000
45日（一ヶ月半）… 通常¥396,000→モニター価格¥346,500
60日（二ヶ月）… 通常¥480,000→モニター価格¥462,000
【サポート費】
0円。一緒に走るようなサポートはありませんが、もし日本国内でトラブルなどにあったらいつでもWhatsAppで連絡下さい。可能な範囲であなたの助けになります！

【その他】
・ETCカードを貸すことができます。日本中の高速道路をキャッシュレスで走ることができます。利用料金はデポジットの10万円から差し引きし、残り分を返金します。利用料金が10万円を超えた場合は、追加請求します。
・ヘルメットやグローブは無料貸出が可能ですが、長期間使用しますので、ご自分の被り慣れているものを日本に持ってくるのが良いでしょう。
【予約の流れ】
1， まずはご自身で大まかな旅程を考えて下さい。わかる範囲で決めてみて下さい。来日時期、期間、日本のどこに行きたいか、どこの空港を利用したいかなど。
2， 利用予定日の一ヶ月以上前に私に連絡を下さい。WhatsAppでもメールでも大丈夫です。すぐに返事ができるのはWhatsAppの方です。サイトに番号が書いてあります。モニター価格を希望される場合、この記事を見たとお伝えください。そしてあなたの要望を聞かせて下さい。私の方でどこまでサポートできるかも検討してみます。そしてお見積りします。時期によって様々な要因で価格が変動することを了承下さい。この時点ではお金は一切必要ありません。もちろん見積もりだけでも大丈夫です。
3， 内容に納得された場合、事前にクレジットカードでお支払い頂きます。そして内容に納得が出来ない場合、きっとそれは良くない旅になる可能性がありますので、プランを変えるか、当社以外で探した方が良いかもしれません…。
また申込時に、国際免許と自国免許証を確認させて頂きます。パスポートもそうですが、有効期限に余裕があることを必ず確認下さい。私もあなたの免許証が本当に日本で有効かどうか、事前に調べます。
4， オートバイの操作方法説明や注意事項などは事前にお知らせしますので、確認下さい。
5， 利用日当日、あなたが指定する場所に届けに行きます。ホテルでも、空港でも、適当な公園でも構いません。
6， 利用期間中、何かあれば気軽にWhatsAppで連絡を下さい。助けになります。回収場所や日時を事前に決める必要はありません。旅の進み具合をみながら、調整していきましょう。但し、予定日数を越える場合は事前に相談して下さい！追加も7,700円/1日で大丈夫です。また利用予定日数以下で返却した場合の返金は出来ませんので、了承下さい。（例:30日利用だったが、28日間で返却した場合など）
7， ETC利用料金の請求確認には時間を要します。返金手続きが海外送金になる場合があります。
8， 旅行体験記を送って下さい。GOOGLEマップやトリップアドバイザーなどのレビューもして頂けると尚嬉しいです。
